He is a well known trainer and a very old school fighter. He is 10th degree in Kyokushin karate and has a judo/sambo/wrestling background. He fought from 70s to mid-90s in various obsecure forms of combat sports.
That and he trained everyone in Europe including Bas Rutten to Overeem to Mousasi. He mentioned that he would have loved to compete in early UFC but never got invited or accepted.

Anyways, he is currently a trainer and with Firas in JRE, I got curios to know how good of a trainer Chris is. This is some 80s Japanese sambo/shoot boxing hybrid:
