The only non-ufc fighter on the list is Mighty Mouse, at a laughable #9.

Stipe is better p4p than DJ? LOL

P4P lists are a complete waste of time and mean absolutely nothing.

dj lost his belt and is now struggling against cans in asia, of course he is low in the rankings

They would mean something, if there were objective, clearly defined, universally agreed upon criteria according to which fighters are ranked. Problem is, there aren't. P4P lists have precisely zero physical meaning, they just give fighters bragging rights.

Half of the people who rank P4P don't even know what P4P stands for.

How can you rank a fighter which have never competed outside of his division? P4P is literally, who is best no matter what weight, who can jump up and down and win championships. If said fighter hasn't proven he can do that what so ever, then he can't even be discussed in those rankings. The rankings are already loosey-goosey, don't need to get even looser..

No. P4P cannot be clearly defined by any tanglible merit. There are far too many factors at play to determine skillset to weight comparisons.

P4P is literally the most useless piece of terminology ever devised in combat sports. It's a marketing term used for generating interest in lower weight fighters.

P4P has absolutely nothing to do with a fighter moving up or down in weight class. Incredible, given your opening statement.

All that comment shows is that YOU don't understand P4P.
So in your world heavyweights can't be in P4P lists..... that's dumb.
You don't have to move weights to be in a P4P list you just have to have the skills that would mean you'd beat people at other weights if you were their size. In boxing you wouldn't rate Hagler in any P4P list as he was only ever a MW? lol.

I mean how else do you compare two fighers in different weight divisions?

gotta look at how stacked each division, quality of the wins, who they've fought.

imo its pretty easy to see why Jones and Khabib are at the top.

I guess you're in the half that doesn't know what they mean, because your definition is completely wrong. Pound for pound means what it literally says - how good you are relative to the weight you fight at. It has nothing to do with hypothetical success at other weights.

DJ should be way higher. Him out of the top 5 is retarded. He still has a solid case for #1 considering many thought he beat Cejudo

but what other fighter outside of the UFC even belongs there? The best besides Demetrious is Patricio and i dont think he quite makes top 10 altho i guess i could see a bit of a case for him

Horiguchi is prolly 3rd best, had a nice run in 2 weights, the Caldwell wins were huge for his P4P stature which the size disparity, but just got KTFO
Bader? Nah....top 20 at best. Lima same story but more like top 25

Pound for pount is completely made up stuff. So you imagine how DJ would fare in HW with his skill set. But how do you scale chin? How do you scale his knockout power? How do you scale speed and agility losses with gaining up weight and height? How do you scale cardio? Same things go with Stipe...

You can't do it. It's plain fiction.

If only it was that easy. That's not what everyone goes to when they think up a p4p ranking.
