Zuffa Finances: The Economics of a UFC Event

I stopped as soon as i saw "Bloody Elbow"

Fuck that site.

So UFC 200

Gross revenue $55m
Net revenue $42m
Fighter wages $20m

just under 50%

by contrast, Dos Anjos v Alvarez lost money ($400k) as far as just the live gate went

but none of this includes other revenue streams such as tv contracts, merchandising etc (equally it doesnt include permanent staff salaries, taxes, etc)

So it’s pretty much useless, it’s just adding up gate totals and fighter expenses and a few other things which is like 25-30% of the total picture

That dude who said fuck bloodyelbow isn’t wrong

Dana is right when he says that fighters should promote themselves, you can see the UFC has cut promotional costs throughout the years, I find that ironic that Dana literally calls himself a fight promoter.

Obligatory..

Burying the lede here. For UFC 111, which had $28.1 million in revenue, total fighter compensation was only $3.8 million. And that includes GSP.
