Awesome grappling match. Probably not an awesome fight.

These grappler heavy contests usually turn into a shitty kickboxing match.

it's great, but this might be one of the only guys Maia has a striking advantage over, so how funny would it be if he decided to keep it standing and jab his way to victory like all those other wrestlers did to deny him the title?

That's a really tough fight for Ben. Even though he's the more effective overall fighter at this point of their careers, I don't think he matches up well with Damien at all. Ben is obviously 100 times the wrestler, but I doubt he wins the grappling exchanges if he does take it there, and Damien is the better striker.

I pick Maia by submission. Grappling on grappling makes it's dangerous for Ben because Maia is a finisher.

Well he is a BJJ Black belt under Ben Askren so I doubt he would get subbed

I honestly dont know the last time I was this excited for a wrestle/grapple fight.
