Those things that happened outside the cage (mostly to fighters) that would have had a massive effect on the UFC.

Best one I can think of is.

Frank Mir's Motorcycle accident - I could have seen him holding the HW belt for a long time. And without this, his body would not have been ridiculously torn up, conditioning and career probably would have been far better overall.
