Kevin Lee message following his loss to RDA

He gave RDA that position. He gave up.

Man i had very high hopes for kevin ! after that tony loss... it was all down hill sad hopefully he can turn this around

He is too small for WW.
If RDA was able to take him down then Woodley, Usman, Askren, Colby would toy with him.
Those 4 plus RDA are already 5 fights he doesn't win. I would add Lawler, Wonderboy and at least 3 more so at least 10 fighters he has almost no shot of beating.

At LW he is still a top contender assuming he can make the weight consistently.
He lost the Al Iaquinta fight but it was close enough to assume he can beat him sometimes.
Also he has a solid chance to take all the contenders down and beat them up, especially in 3 rounds. I always wanted to see him vs Khabib in the wrestling department but sadly that will likely never happen.

Why is it shot like that crazy tranny yelling to leave Brittney alone

No way he is ever beating someone like Khabib after all that talk.

Khabib is mentally strong like a bull and Lee is fragile. Then there is the actual physical and skill aspect that he won’t overcome.

He really needs a division between 170 and 155. He can't win if he can't bully.

No it just means he is not good enough to be in the UFC if he can't win @ 170 or make weight @155.. People find their level and he found his.

Lee's biggest weaknesses are obviously his cardio and a lack of one shot KO power. KO power is something that is hard to develop but he should be able to improve his cardio with proper road work, swimming etc. Lifting weights, sparring and rolling are not going to improve his cardio beyond what he has now.

I'm constantly mystified by guys like Lee and McGregor with huge glaring cardio weaknesses that would completely change their game and an abosolute lack of interest in fixing it.

If he honestly believes that he did everything right, and he prepared as well as he could and his body was right before the fight, then he only has 2 options:

(1) Switch camps. If you did everything right, then your camp (environment) is failing. This is the Universe telling you that your current trainers have done all they can do for you. Now, it is time to adapt and survive with a different camp and environment. It is time to be an uncomfortable hungry fighter again. To quote Jordan Peterson, it is time for the lobster to shed its current shell, so it can grow again.

Leave Las Vegas and move to AKA. Why AKA? It is a team of fighters who can actually challenge and help him develop his "TD, back take and RNC" approach to fighting. Kevin Lee could win a lot of MMA fights just pinning opponents to the fence, and getting into dominant position.

Kevin Lee can beat the majority of LWs and WWs the same way Alxander Volkanovski just beat Jose Aldo. Stay calm. Avoid the KO shot. Pin opponent against the fence , because you are scoring points with the judges while not even using your gas tank.

Just take dominant position, and pretend to be active until the referee says something. If the opponent gives you an easy sub, then take it. He hasn't had any problems doing this against most of his opponents. AKA can really help him develop this skill.

(2) Retire and save his brain. He has already accomplished (in his profession) more than the average American will ever accomplish in their professions. If he has children, and tells them that he was a UFC MMA fighter who fought for a belt. If he treats his children right, then they will always believe that they have the greatest and most bad-ass dad in the world.

If you know Kevin Lee, then pass this along to him.

There is a limit to how much you can improve your cardio when you’re already in top shape and train for weeks on end.

These guys are not overweight average Joe’s who get in shape and see their cardio improve greatly.

Guys like Conor and Lee can see small improvements but they’re not going to be able to greatly improve it.

I disagree. I've trained with people that with a couple of years of proper cardio training can run 26 mile marathons.

Lee carries a lot of muscle, if you compare his build to RDA (given they both came from LW) its clear who has more muscle mass.

Guys with great gas tanks train accordingly. Lee clearly focuses on weights sparring and rolling far more than cardio.

If you watched the fight last night, Lee tried to put RDA away in the first round (and into the second). That's the hallmark of a guy that has a style built around quick finishes. McGregor falls into that category as well.

There are literally 100's of boxers that can fight for 36 minutes while barely breaking a sweat. This is because boxers do tons of road work, skipping, swimming etc.

Many people can run a marathon but the finish times vary greatly. They all don’t have equal cardio.

Lee could improve his cardio by changing his body somewhat but he is never going to have great cardio. He won’t all of a sudden become Tony Ferguson in the cage. Also an improvement in cardio and training can decrease other areas like his strength.

And? Lee doesn't possess KO power to begin with. Most guys with wrestling bases are strong grapplers but lack big killshot power (khabib, Usman, Colby, Askren just to name a few).

Lee is losing fights because he runs out of gas. Happened against Iaquinta twice, Ferguson, and now RDA.

He's now fighting in a weight class against bigger guys, many with excellent gas tanks.

"Don't know what happened out there tonight..."

You were beaten by a superior fighter. It was a relatively competitive fight until the submission but the better MMArtist won.

Improve or retire. Simple.

:eek::eek::eek::eek: we don't need to HEAR from you just cause you lost..
