Seriously I just seen the thread about wedidman and all these betas are hella hating on him.its sad that he is giving up health for our entertainment

exactly what @Mixedfights said, or they're salty because they've lost money for betting on (or against) the fighter they hate on
 
Somewhere down the line during Pride; it became this our fighter our team our promotion deal. I liked how even losing fighters had fans. I guess with the UFC cutting fighters after a few losses changed everything. It is mainly bandwagon folks now.
I also think it was because we weren't overloaded with social media and access to the fighters.
