It's still insane to me that he actually said that out loud on air while Ronda was getting pummelled by Holly. Someone must have been screaming into his ear piece to hype Ronda back up and to try and save her reputation, that's the only explanation.

A lot of truth to that quote though.

When she became a massive star, suddenly untold millions of dollars, zero privacy and everything that comes with it.. Rousey was never the same.

People always blame coaching but what destroyed her career and potential most was stardom. She had one foot out the door, long before that first loss.

Tyson, McGregor, there's a lot of examples throughout combat sports history of money and fame causing unmendable damage to careers.
 
Somehow I felt his fuck ups in the early days are real and legit

Somewhere down the road, it just feels he fucks up on purpose

Either way I miss him greatly.. you truly wouldn't know what you have until its gone... :(
 
The man tried so hard so often and failed every time to say "Fighter X is taking a page out of Fighter Y's book." From "That's a book out of Pedro" to "A book out of Chuck's chapter," his brain just couldn't get his mouth to say something that wasn't stupid.

I still don't get why people clown him so much for saying that. I always took it as him saying that maybe the added pressure and obligations were finally getting to Ronda, hence the reason she was getting lit up
