I'm making this thread to issue a disclaimer: the trolling is getting too heavy in these threads. Generally speaking, we know the SB tends to be a more a trollsy subforum, and that's part and parcel to the nature of the discussion, and generally the fun escalates in concert with the trash talk. However, it got out of hand, and that should be apparent from the ban of longtime poster Da Speeit.
The idea is to keep it lighthearted. Ribbing should be proportional to what's at stake (in the grand scheme of things sports are games being played and trinkets being won-- nothing more).
If you're going to bait other posters, keep it lighthearted, keep it humorous, and make an effort (with trollsy posts) to target regulars who participate in that type of dialogue. Too many casuals and regulars who don't like trollwarring are getting roped into this, and it's ruining discussion of a major sporting event.
Keep in mind that there is real, serious sporting debate that should be taking place between any breed of flag-waving. Serious debate is fun, too.
