I voted the 1990's because it feels like when shit got weird and made the 2000's possible.

Speaking of weird.... Did you forget Twin Peaks or did I forget how to read?

Once again, the hands-down best decade in television history should be properly represented.

Other big TV shows I recall: Malcolm in the Middle, 24, Scrubs

90s for Fresh Prince, Friends, Simpsons and DBZ (more than a TV show for me). Fresh Prince is a timeless mix of comedy and family life, with good life lessons. The pool hall, getting shot, speed, why don't he love me, their reaction to Ashley's first bf lol...many memorable moments. I think it spoke to me more being an only kid and Will being their cousin/nephew. Nostalgia bias but Buffy is also legendary.

Loved Smallville, Scrubs, Malcolm, That 70s Show. But Scrubs is weird to me now. Malcolm's the only one I'd definitely watch if I saw it on TV.

You still didn't because you left off Supernatural and Smallville lol

Comes down to Seinfeld vs It's Always Sunny for me.

I voted nostalgia and went Seinfeld. My all time favorite show. Plus it was like an event. Every Thursday we'd be sure to get all my college buddies gathered around and we'd watch Friends, and then Seinfeld at 8. It was great memories.

The 90s

That being said either decade has better shows then now.

for me, this solely came down to which decade had Simpsons.
Simpsons season 2 to 11 is the GOAT show ever.
The Simpsons is why @Takes Two To Tango's list doesn't make sense. He lists many shows for the 90's, but not the 00's, when those shows were in both decades, and for some, the majority of their seasons were in the 00's (ex. Oz, Everybody Loves Raymond, King of the Hill, ER).

I figured, okay, he's only counting the shows according to which decade they launched. But The Simpsons launched in 1989. It doesn't belong to the 90's.

Simpsons season 2 thru 9 belongs in the 90s because it aired live in the 90s. Season 1 belongs in the 80s and season 10 belongs to the 2000s and so on.

Which is why im fine with the 90s.

TS also left out WWF raw from 93-99 which only makes my pick that much easier.

Yeah I'd say 90s for Simpsons since I grew up watching it and it was the 90s when I watched it, didn't really watch it that much in the 2000s and if I did it was prolly reruns anyway

When I think of The Simpsons I think of the 90s. That' why they are in the 90s.

My list is not necessarily what decade they were released, it's their most impact during their run. For example, The Sopranos was released in 1999, but they are in 2000s. Basically a lot of the shows that were released at the year before the decade ended goes to the next decade, because that was when they were most impactful imo.

What about shows like friends where it ran from like mid 90s to mid 00s
