Was rooting for Dustin and I know Eddie's corner are dumbasses for calling for an elbow in that position, but it doesn't mean that it's not a stupid rule. Currently racking my brain thinking of a dumber one, but I can't do it.

12-6 elbows are a legitimate technique that aren't any more dangerous than regular elbows, unless you throw them to the neck, spine, or back of the head, but that's not an issue because striking those areas is illegal period.

They watched some karate demonstrations of guys breaking fake bricks with downward elbows and got shook, and supposedly feared for the safety of every cage fighter if this horrible technique was legalized.

Eddie should've known better than to throw it, but the abolition of this really needs to be considered by the appropriate sanctioning bodies.

I still think it's bullshit anyway as the spirit of this is to outlaw 12/6 elbows to the head and Alvarez landed to the shoulder.

Quite a few of these look like 12/6 to me and are landing with the point of the elbow. Romero got a TKO for using them to the body.

Eddie already got busted cheating earlier by grabbing the fence which saved him from that sub that was pretty deep you can even see Eddies face while he was holding the fucking fence, he wasnt going to do shit in that stalling position and next round would of started standing...
