Thought some of these are pretty clever and I would say useful.

Any of you guys have have any tips or tricks to share for this winter? please do.

1) Winter tires > all terrain
2) Remote starter = winning life
3) If you are getting a block heater go ahead and spring for the trans and battery heater as well.
4) Pack a survival backpack if you are rural and could slide down an embankment. That's how I almost died in Yukon.

Now that winter is upon us don't forget to carry an emergency kit with you at all times when travelling

This should include an ice scraper, de-icer, torch, phone & charger, extra clothing and warm blankets, snacks, and water.

Essential safety items are jump leads, a high-visibility vest, a warning triangle, and a first-aid kit.

Consider also carrying a small shovel and sand or cat litter to put under tyres for extra traction.

I felt like such an.idiot carrying this crap on the bus .....

Buy a 4x4 truck. Diesels take forever to warm up, have a good scraper.
