1 Hour of Bonus/Deleted Scenes in The Godfather Trilogy

Did they digitally remove sophia from 3?

Idk I refuse to watch 3

Wasn't a fan of the cousins banging. It has some good lines like 'just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in'

But the first 2 set the bar way too high the 3rd film could never reach it

Part 3 isn't as good as the first two by any stretch but it actually has my favorite line in all three movies.

"You wish to do business with me? I will do business with you."

The cousins banging thing certainly doesn't endear the characters to the audience but it wasn't a bad way to illustrate how dysfunctional the family has become as a morally rudderless ship since Michael killed Fredo. And while it certainly all didn't make it into the movies, the unfilmed parts of the Godfather story are pretty unsavory, from going on and on about Sonny's big hog to pretty much everything Luca Brasi did before the movie starts.

3 was just not anywhere near the same league as 1 and 2. It seemed like I was watching a completely different saga.

The acting was meh. The storyline...meh. it just felt like it was done for $$$ if anything. The more I watch it the more I honestly despise it.

The fact it came out the same year as Goodfellas made things even worse for its case.

Did you see the new version of it? I haven't checked it out yet, but if I was going to watch 3 again that's the version I would want to see.

I also didn't like how Duvall wasn't in it. Didn't feel the same. Luca in the books is apparently more violent and ruthless then he was in the movie

Yeah Lenny Montana being nervous on set completely changed what the character was on screen versus in the book. In the movie I never really get any impression at all of why Don Vito is scared or respectful of Luca at all. It's just a different guy altogether because FFC found a way to work Lenny's nerves into the character.

Oh man. Ok, i'll watch it....one more time, lol.

Id love a prequel highlighting the rise of the corleone family. Perhaps picking up where the backstory events in 2 left off, or even a decade after those events. Would be epic if done correct. The Luca character could certainly be further explored.

I feel as though hollyweird would find a way to fuck it up though.

Vito kind of comes off like he takes pity on him, at least in the opening scene where he struggles to put a sentence together.

Yeah the other characters talk Luca up like a beast but the actual guy on screen is a clown. When I first saw the Godfather and Vito asks if it is necessary to see Luca...in the book it's out of his fearful respect for Luca. In the movie it comes across as because he doesn't have time for it, like a lower priority than the mortician.

The way they did it works...but really Luca seems like a goofy teddy bear who everybody sells wolf tickets about and then he just walks into a trap and dies like a Star Trek redshirt.

Even the way he dies with his tongue sticking out came off a little silly.
