Welcome to the Rafael Fiziev Rabbit Hole. Here I'll attempt to post all of his MMA Fights (at least the ones I can find). If I can't find full videos, then I'll post highlights or pictures & a description of the result. Let me know what you think about these or if you have any suggestions for future rabbit holes to go down. Enjoy!

Love it! Not sure if this is a continuing series you do, if not I think you should consider it.

*Edit* if you post more vids I will delete this post so they run in sequence.

Great post. I went to Thailand in 2018 to train for a month. We stayed and trained at Tiger Muay Thai and Fiziev was our MMA/Kickboxing coach. Really cool, down to earth guy and I remember watching him spar someone and thinking "This dude is legit!" A year later he was in the UFC. Pretty cool.

Dope post TS.

Fiziev is an absolutely beast - was kind of shocked to see him get put out so quick by Magomed Mustafaev in his debut with his striking background and acumen.

Nice to see it didn't affect his confidence and he's really built some momentum since then.

Literally the same lol. That's crazy. Seeing a guy I believed to be an absolute striking wizard get TKO'd by a spinning back kick from a Dagestani in his first UFC fight really shook me up then.

Thanks! I'll do some more for sure, don't know when or how frequently but I'll put some more out from time to time. I used to do them with my friends in a text group, figured here would be a cool way to share with more people!

Damn, thats cool that you both trained in Thailand a bit and got to meet/learn from Fiziev. He seems like a really cool guy in all the videos & interviews, nice to hear some confirmation on that. Must have been surreal to see him on TV after all of that, and to see what he's become.

Yeah I wasn't expecting that kick from Mustafaev, and despite the loss, Fiziev actually ate it pretty well considering. I'm glad to see he just go right back to it. Big fights coming for him in 2023!

You make no sense
He’s right, man.

Especially since Usman, and Izzy got smoked. Usman signaled the change. Izzy sent you right over the edge.

No disrespect.

he said he was injured at the time and the fight was on short notice, and he was struggling and needed money, so he took the fight.

Also Mustafaev is just one of those guys, every muscle fiber on that guy is fast twitch and he's a super explosive striker. Might not be the best fighter but can he can catch anyone standing.

Thanks! I didn't know that. Adds a new perspective to it.

When I was researching this, I saw this info on Magomed Mustafaev, he's been real unlucky with matchups for the last couple of years. Wonder when he'll be back.
