Gotta keep that property tax, insurance, and utility bill down! Bargain bin venue for bargain bin fights, but I hear Forrest grills a mean hotdog.
Surely that number is skewed from the covid lockdown era where almost all events were held there though.A bit more than that.
"Since 2020, 65.31% of cards held in the U.S. have been taken place in the Apex."
I agree they should at least put some more bleachers in there. I'm gonna guess there's usually about 200 people in there during the fight night but half of them are production crew, UFC employees, athletic commission people or fighter corners. That only leaves around 100 fans. Can you even buy tickets to those Apex shows or is it invite only? They should at least try to get like 500 fans minimum in there. That one fight night they did at that smaller casino in Vegas last year on the Merab/Yan fight had what looked like around 1000 people and it seemed like a small but loud and rowdy atmosphere. That's what they should aim for at the apex cards. So, I understand the convenience for the UFC to have a fixed arena in Las Vegas where all the minor cards can take place to run the rankings, but why does it all have to be so tiny? With a shrunken cage, a small audience, where you lose all the atmosphere of a big crowd and all the excitement that comes with it, both for the viewers and the fighters themselves?
The Apex the way it is now was perfect during the covid pandemic because assemblages were to be avoided anyway, now that the scare is over you can afford to accommodate more people, I bet with all the money ufc makes they could even build their own stadium lol, can they possibly be so cheap?
Sounds like something my old boss would say when we needed new equipment. It’s a production thing. Dana said it look better on camera due to the size of the room and lighting but the bigger Octagon is needed for fan viewing in arenas.

My understanding the people in attendance at the Apex are invited guest of the UFC and some of the fighters fighting family/friends(very small amount on that side).
