Why do punchers dominate in MMA, while kickers never seem to cut it?

Wow, this thread didn't not go well for TS.

Was that sarcasm?

There are a lot of objective answers in this thread that demonstrate that punching is more efficient and effective than kicking for your average fighter.

Some posters may be trolled by that and think that the argument is that kicks are invalid, and of course that is ridiculous.

What is not ridiculous is that for most people, fighters, ECT. the hands are an easier to deploy weapon, a faster weapon, and a less risky weapon.

Most people are not Cung Le, which should make us appreciate Cung Le all the more.

Title says it.
Kickers like Pettis, Stephen Thompson and Barboza never get that fat. Meanwhile, boxers or wrestle-boxers like Dillashaw, Cody Garbrandt, McGregor, Mendes, Woodley, Rumble and Stipe always have an easy time against MT or Karate/TKD guys.
Why is boxing so much more successful and why is kicking so seemingly helpless in MMA...?
get that fat? what kindve dumb ass slang is that lol? for the record mcgregor is half karate half boxing, not a wrestle boxer. dillashaw does a form of dutch kickboxing and so does rumble. Also mendes got wrecked by aldo, a kickboxer. Rumble also got wrecked by Vitor, who is a purple belt in shotokan karate.

Get that 'far' is what I obviously meant -_-
Dillashaw is mostly a puncher, so is McGregor. Vitor uses mostly boxing, though I admit he had some spectacular kick KOs. Still, he's not the best out there.
