He literally had nothing to gain from that rematch. It wasn't a #1 contender fight or title fight.

He had a lot to gain. He had lost 2 straight and another win over Gegard would've been huge for him.

he probably doesn't have much leverage. and a chance to fight a top 10 you just KTFO'd, or spend the next few years on undercards & fightpass.....it's not an easy career choice for sure.

Probably thought he could murk him again.

Problem with that is Hall is one of the most mentally unpredictable fighters in the UFC.

It's a crap shoot as to which Uriah shows up to each fight - The straight up killer, or the timid, can't pull the trigger one.

Most of the time it's the latter.

Good question TS.

Sometimes rematches can make good money. Maybe that was it. Maybe he wanted to prove it wasn't a fluke.

Sucks for him because, since he lost people seem to act as if the first fight didn't happen.

Weird how that works

The UFC & Mousasi wouldnt have booked the rematch, had Mousasi won the 1st time...

Because the boss told him to.

It was a makeshift main event, Gunnar Nelson vs Kim was supppsed to headline.

Yeah, lots of denial about that and Jacare-Mousasi #2. According to the Moose Cult, Jacare-Mousasi #1 is more relevant, even if it happened a decade ago.

Halls tko to Mousasi was so lucky , the second fight proved how much of a fluke it was

This is a lie people tell themselves to believe that he has it in his to be a champ or something.

Truth is that he's a counter striker who throws weird and unpredictable strikes. If they land... "OMG HE'S A KILLER THE NEXT CHAMPION" if they dont land and he loses.... "WOW URIAH WOW WHATS WRONG WITH YOU".

Pretty damn weird way people look at him. A lot of faith put in him for a guy who gets wrestlefucked by welterweights and Mousasi. Not to mention in the first fight against Mousasi he was getting tooled in the stand up department until that one out of ten times spinning back kick
