Opinion Why are there no wars in the Americas ?

Dutch, English and French are also spoken in South America as national languages and there is only one Portuguese-speaking country.
I’m pretty sure Dutch, English and French are “spoken” in South America but by and large? No. If Brazil isn’t a Portuguese speaking country I’d like to know what it is. Just saying.

cause in americas its all bunch of low t hippies
First off, speak for yourself. And would that be a reason that any country would invade? Would not invade?? Not sure where you were getting at.

why would anybody invade a place full of homeless zombies walking around doing drugs and using public places as a toilet?

if anything there should be a humanitarian effort to send cargoes full of cleaning and disinfecting products
San Francisco and Seattle don’t encompass all of the USA.

Because Drug Cartels actually run Central and South America

And wars are bad for business.

Peru had some bad civil conflicts between Commies and the Govt in the 90’s

The UK was taking Peruvians in

That was mostly the 80s. It was mostly over by the 1992-1993.

It helps to have two oceans between us. Europe, Asian and Africa are wide open and have different cultures clashing.

At least until recent times, American was united under the belief of freedom and being a melting pot of cultures. That’s finally starting to unravel and we are probably heading for a civil war within the next 50 years. Someone from the outside coming in is tough because the ocean and the fact that we’d likely respond with nukes.

Because you're surrounded by two massive oceans on either side.
To the north is the most wet, soyboy nation on earth.
To the south is Mexico who know they'd be eviscerated if they started a war with the US.
Mexico : There is no need to fight the Yanks , we will just re-Mexicanize the American SouthWest.

For the last who know how many years, major wars are happening in Europe or Middle East .
Why ?
Nothing too serious between North and South America so no wars there ?
Also on both continents , no wars, just Europe.
Whats up with Europe then , WW1, WW2 , balcan wars, Ukraine, Israel....
There are constant wars in Mexico...
The media calls them "skirmishes" between drug cartels and mexican popos.

Because the US makes all of the major decisions in the hemisphere. We're the largest economic power. We have the most dominant military. We've been destabilizing their leadership for years, removing leaders we don't like and replacing them with leaders we do. We provide them with tons of economic support that is contingent on the decisions they make regionally. Essentially, they operate like an extension of our foreign policy so there's nothing for them to fight over.

However, if China continues trying to increase it's influence in South America, that could all change.

no, thats the reason theres no fighting within usa.

if us was like the rest of the world there would already be uprising from different groups, but people in general are too passive cause of the reasons mentioned before

Funny.....culture war is currently underway, and a civil war is right around the corner after Trump gets thrown in jail.

A lot of dummies are going to die over a conman getting put away.

After getting handled invading Canada, and after Canadians coming down and burning the fucking White House (or maybe it was after the Mexicans beat the fuck out of those 'murican's at the Alamo) the USA has devoted an incredible amount of resources to it's Armed Forces.
I imagine that after getting spanked the country got a complex.

So now, instead of going to war with it's neighbors, the USA is at war with itself and is rotting from the inside.

Columbia and Venezuela have a border thing going on. Much of the conflicts in South America are small factions or civil in nature like death squads in Guatemala.

With the weak, cowardly, shell of a person the democrats loved 4 yrs ago still (but now won't admit to it) propped up at the WH I believe it's a great possibility.

Because countries for the most part are new, national identities are roughly 200 years old at best for most countries there, so there is no old blood.

Just look at the Israel thread, shit goes back millennia over who did what to who, in the Americas most people just kicked out colonial rule and found themselves without an identity so they built ground from zero.

there have been plenty of wars over there, they killed each other a bunch.
there were even civil wars, if you want to read about a banger, check out La Violencia in Columbia. you know it's going to be lit when something is called La Violencia in Columbia.
now, they're mostly too poor or too fucked up internally to care about wars of expansion.
unless it becomes profitable for the americans, we won't see major conflict in there for a while.

Pablo Escobar, 1980's IIRC, waged a war all over in Columbia with anyone who stood in his way, police departments, towns, cities with "take my Silver or get my Lead" philosophy. Many murders, went on for years.
