Who would win in a fight? Alexander the Great or Genghis Khan?

The efficacy of the phalanx had long become obsolete by the time of the Mongols. Just 200 or 300 years later Roman testudo formations would have given Alexander real hell.
Never mind tactics, the mongols got ballistae and shit. Good luck blocking that with your shield.

Don't know who would win a physical fight but Genghis Khan was clearly more alpha:

Published in the American Journal of Human Genetics, “The Genetic Legacy of the Mongols” found that 0.5 percent of the world’s male population were Khan’s genetic descendants and that 8 percent of men living in his former territory had identical Y-chromosomes.

Ghengis had 6 wives and over 500 concubines. It's estimated he impregnated over 1000 women. I swear he walked around with a raw dick all day. Funny enough though is only his first 4 sons with his first wife were ever formally recognized.

Then you figure each of those kids had a shit ton of kids and now we got a bunch of Ghengis's running around.

Its probably the latter which is the big issue, even his non legit kids would still probably have pretty high status in the Mongol empire and would themselves have had lots of kids, do that for a few generations and its a hell of a lot of kids.

By their military styles

Alexander fought predominantly melee combat.

Ghengis's methods were to Make melee combat is inconsequential as possible.

Ghengis [ and mongols ] would still use bows at what we'd consider close range.

realistically who knows. Although here's my reasoning

Id lean towards Alexander in 1 on 1 combat. As his entire childhood / young adulthood was spent training for war and combat wIth experienced trainers and training partners specifically with melee combat at the forefront.

Ghengis childhood / young adult life was a lot rougher. Extended periods of time spent in almost isolation surviving... not training with experienced soldiers daily.

I don't see how ghengis takes it personally

100%. All of the women in his concubines he got pregnant probably had pretty good lives and enjoyed a certain status. Only the women he might have raped and impregnated while out on conquest didn't get to enjoy that privilege.

If Alexander was alive under similar circumstances in the age of Ghengis or the other way around then Likely Alexander. Of course Ghenhis wins if its straight up he had 1500 years of military advancement and weaponry. Alexander never lost despite being out manned sometimes more than double most battles. In 5 or 6 years he conquered all powers of the known world . Greece(Phillip II), Egypt, Persia in his mid 20s. There's a reason hes most famous non big 2 religion person in history.

If a hand to hand battle maybe Alexander due to his training but Alexander was a little fucker at like 5'1 dont know. If on horseback Alexander if sword or spear an Ghengis if bow.
