Gaming “journalism” is just a racket now. Publishers fear reprisal if they don’t hire these shit heel consultants. These consultants mostly work for or worked for these gaming journalist sites. It’s like they’re blackmailing them.

Its more like giant gaming developers aren't using their own money to secure funding for large development cycles. They're securing loans that are dependant upon DEI scores, and one of the conditions for the loans is to hire DEI consultants... LIKE Sweet Baby Inc. Apparently there are several.

The financial sector is being overtaken by these marxists, implimenting their values within the products that they fund.

Apparently God Of War Ragnarock had DEI consultants to make that one character black. Not that big of a deal and hardly noticeable.

But what absolutely was very noticeable and impossible to ignore was their role in Spiderman2 and 'Suicide Squad kills the Justice League.'
Spiderman 2 hasn't sold anywhere close to the units the original did, and Suicide Squad was dead on arrival to the point Rocksteady may close.

Game developers are going to have to make a decision very quickly... to either drop all the DEI bullshit or your games are going to crash and burn, and possibly your entire development studio with it.


As for the gaming journalists... fuck them. They've been parasites upon the gaming industry far too long and gaming reviews by them have been a disgustingly overrated metric for far far too long... and its probably one of the biggest reasons why CoD has been the #1 selling game for over a decade.

I can't imagine their garbage activism drawing as much traffic as helpful guides could. A lot of their staff are going to be unemployed.

I used to love Kotaku way back, as I'm a night owl. There weren't many places you could get gaming content at 1am. Youtube was always going to hurt their bottom line, but they hastened their downfall with all the far left loons that infested the site.

They are free to start their own websites/youtube channels, but there really isn't a profitable market for them outside ESG funding and the like. This is why parasites like SBI are so bothered by having the spotlight on them. They know they aren't wanted by the average consumer.

Developer known for creating ONE single player franchise, all of sudden tries live service multiplayer wank, and to the surprise of nobody, failed miserably at it. Pretty much. That's what I was saying. They made this studio that has ZERO experience in the realm of "live service" make a live service game. The entire thing, too. It would be a neat little extra mode in a single player game that you might mess around with for a bit after you're done with the campaign, but to bank on it turning into some online juggernaut was rather foolish. I can't stand the "live service" model, but there is formula to it that attracts players and keeps them addicted to it, and they had no idea what it was and thought they could just wing it, as if the model itself just prints money. It doesn't. There's SO much competition in that sphere, and if they thought it was easy to do, they got a big wake up call that it ain't.
