Update P2:Mega Millions Jackpot No Winner Towards 2 Billion , Powerball No Winner Over 600 Mill

The trip to go turn in the winning ticket must be INTENSE.

I'd feel like John Wick, everybody out to get me.

I'd figure I would crash and die in the way. It wouldn't feel safe no matter where I put it, either. In my wallet? I would feel like it's disintegrating. Pocket? Falling out.

I would enjoy the money though. I'm smart enough not to be a crackhead, and I would only kind of pay for sex; not directly. I might bang a few super hot gold diggers, but I wouldn't care if I knock em up, because I like kids and would be able to afford wtevr.

setup a trust and travel to japan for as long as possible

Well that did not take long here I am thinking by Friday hits 900 million already there now.

"The Mega Millions jackpot ballooned to a record high: $900 million for Friday night's drawing. It's the second-largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history. The increase comes a day after no ticket matched all six winning numbers drawn Tuesday night and dwarfs the Powerball $345 million jackpot up for grabs when those numbers are chosen 10 p.m. ET Wednesday night."

I stopped in the gas station today and stepped in to buy 1 ticket. Usually the place is empty inside or maybe 1 dude buying a soda or candy bar.
There were 4 people that bought an average of 2 tickets each within the 2 minutes I was in there. I'm sure that was common throughout the day and all other gas stations too! It's nuts!!

One downside former friends you have not heard from in years will come out of the wood work. I would build an amazing homeless shelter for homeless near my house.

It would be 5 floors of state of art living an have access to family care and health services. The reason why they are some of the most respectful people I know in most cases.

They walk by the house sometimes an say hi and are never drunk or difficult. Most moved into the area from areas that are even more harsh. Some of them where displaced from work an moved in the area for work.

Yes some are addicts so I will not be very welcoming to them unless they get clean an seek help.

I would also help the elderly an their housing issues. I would commit about 50 to 75 million towards it.

I would buy houses for my tenants in my apartments an cover their property taxes.

It''s going to go up possibly above 1 billion by Friday. I have seen people use a whole paycheck to buy hundreds of tickets.

If I win it, i'll be dead within a week and will leave the remaining money to an animal sanctuary.

I usually buy ticket or tickets when it reaches these levels.
never really understood this logic but I hear it a lot as a non-lottery buyer.

The draw is regularly a hundred million plus and that does not motivate many people to get off their butt and buy a ticket. 'Ahhh who needs a couple hundred million?' but it gets near a billion and all sorts of people who do not get excited by the idea of winning a couple hundred million are now excited.

So why is not a few hundred million exciting enough to buy a ticket?

I think about this often.

If I won, I'm not going to lie.......I'd be that asshole on FB that everyone absolutely HATES. Every single god damn day, I would be showing off pics and videos of my new shit. 50 million dollar house, new exotic car every day, would pose for pictures wearing 30 million dollars worth of jewelry. Probably joke around and say stuff like "HAHA I made it you BUMS!!!! look AT THIS SHIT!!!"

basically I'd probably become a version of Floyd Mayweather/Conor
LOL kidnap plot incoming....

I used to buy regularly an never win so I felt like I was throwing money away. When it goes above 300 or so million but more times above 500 million. I rather not turn into an addict like some of the people in my area.

Yeah.. But you'll only get 60% of it after taxes and with the cash option, so it's really not that much....
they take between 36-39% basis the cash option and then you still pay the maximum taxable level as income tax. so 900mill is roughly 340mill after all is said and done

Ok so its not that you don't think 100 or 200 million is not an exciting amount of money to win, you just don't want to play too often and this helps you stay disciplined as it rarely gets up that high. got it.

First of all, it's less than 60%, but even if you were right 540 million is still a lot.

i use it to build trust with the people i work with. when it gets this high we generally pool funds and i run to the convenience store to buy the tickets and pretend i would never run off with all that money.

Seriously. Just find a accountant that knows what he's doing

Ya its the biggest rigged game in town. This is legal gambling where the House (gov't) takes a 'Vig' or "Rake' of almost 2/3rds or 66% of every dollar put in.

Vegas casinos would gladly live off a 5% rake off games and here we have the gov't taking a 60+% rake.

Imagine the gov't says "you 3 guys put in $33 each and we will have a draw for $100 that goes to the winner. Sounds good right?"

Then you win and the gov't takes $60 for running the draw for you with your money and get $40. You are net up $10. Everyone would see the flaw in such a rigged game and if it was a Vegas Casino taking such a Rake it would be run out of business.
