Media Ufc tried to lowball nick diaz which is the cause for his return to be in jeopardy?

He has not fought in almost 4 years and is 2-2-1 in his last 5 fights. Not really in a position to negotiate anything. Him and his brother are the the 2 biggest divas in the sport

Just stop dealing with this dude and let him fuck off. Never offer them another fight

<YeahOKJen><36>

Pretty much this, maybe add tferg and max, also Anderson ? Anyway that's not much, Diaz holds the cards.

Diaz doesn't hold shit. The only cards he headlined that he was the main draw averaged 350k buys. Not bad today, but back then those where really low numbers. There is nothing to support Nick being a draw

Hasn't fought in 4 years, making demands. Yup, sounds like a Diaz bro.

I'd like to see what these contact negotiations are like. How does this constantly happen?
Bisping even said on Rogans podcast that they announced him fighting rockhold for the title before Bisping even knew he had the fight

They know they aren't draws on their own but since they are rich, you have to make their time worthwhile, do you expect them fight for 100-200k when they have millions ?

So every fighter that fights a GSP or Conor should just demand millions every fight after? And Nick was likely offered much more then 100-200k. His current contract paid him more then that. If Nick is anything like his brother he is asking for GSP type money

Nick is on Dana level bullshit when it comes to making statements.

He should do what Iaquinta did. Knock out a beatable opponent(Masvidal is overrated imo) and then he gets some more leverage
That makes sense, but he wants the big fight right away. If he doesn’t get it, he’ll whine and his fans will whine.

ufc should just stop fucking around and pay both the diaz boys 100mil every quarter.

He didn't agree to it in the first place , you know how the ufc does. They announce the fights before you agree to pressure you in negotiations and make you feel responsible to not disappoint the fans, so you accept less money because of not being able to say no, because it's too late now and the fight is "official" even though you haven't agreed to it. So he never pulled out, he was never in apparently.
Why would that strategy work with Nick? He never fight so I doubt he feels much responsibility towards the fans.

I don't think he actually has any interest in fighting anymore so he's looking for ridiculous money on the off chance UFC says yes

As a massive Diaz fan.. you havnt wom a fight in 5 years ! You have no leverage

we don't know how much he's asking for and we don't know how much the UFC is offering so its hard to call either side unfair
