UFC Fighter Pay Compared To Other Pro Sports

There's a reason why someone bought the UFC for 4 billion. Here's a hint. It's not because they pay their fighters extremely well.

The UFC invests way more in growth.

Remember when 2 years ago everyone thought the UFC was done, the hype was gone, the sport had peaked, etc.?

Remember last year when it wasn't even legal in every state yet?

Remember when a bunch of fighters got the UFC tied up in a 9 figure lawsuit because they were mad they didn't make millions as journeymen in 2008?

Remember when the UFC started spending 7 figures per year on drug testing that those other sports are so afraid of?

Remember when the UFC got health insurance for 500 pro MMA fighters who are seemingly constantly injured?

yeah, I remember. The only thing I'm forgetting is probably another half-dozen multi-million dollar "remember whens"

And yet, despite that, fighter pay has been on an astronomical upward trajectory. This whole discussion is so played out it's ridiculous. Guess people need to find something to bitch about, when the sport has never been better for fans, fighters, orgs, and fighting-related brands.
