I'll be happy with 2 shows a month. Give me a chance to catch up with Glory, bellator and even boxing. I'm a combat sports junkie. Could care less about the UFC as a company. I just want fights.

There is no source. Not a single credible source or outlet has come out and said "the UFC is reducing shows next year to 30"

Cutting 13 losing fighters out of 500+ has nothing to do with it

I believe Ariel has said it on the MMA Hour and MMA Beat.

Something like "I'm hearing there is going to be a significant reduction in events in 2017". But I don't recall him mentioning 30.
