UFC 300 doesn't need Conor

Even early on I rooted for Conor’s opponents more than I did for him; but it seems a bit shortsighted to dismiss his relevance to the wider fan base.

w/o the pandemic happening, Conor would hold the top 7 spots for PPV buys.
Lesnar and then Rousey would likely be the only ones up there with him.

Conor’s worst performing PPV was about $825K Vs Mendes.

To call him irrelevant is incredibly shortsighted.
The casuals (and even non-MMA fans) along with some boxing fans (probably) will tune in as well.

Semi related note:
W/o Lesnar, 200 probably never would’ve come close to 1,000,000 buys.
Further, the only other 1,000,000 PPV buy fighter still signed is Holm who was the B side vs. Rousey.

GSP and Silva both came close, JBJ less, etc… and those are all GOAT candidates.

UFC should have Connor on 300.

He brings a lot of excitement. Even if his time is up and he was always a bit overrated

UFC 300:
Aspinall vs Miocic, or Gane if Miocic opts out
Makhachev vs Oliviera
Winner of Leon/Colby vs Belal
Pereira vs Ankalaev/Walker winner
Khamzat vs Costa or Cannonier

I don't think many people would complain about this card.

I’ve already accepted that he’s probably going to be the main event, that’s just what’s likely to happen

It would honestly be a shame if Conor were on that card. But I wouldn't be surprised.

The UFC doesn't like to stack Conor cards, doesn't make sense to have him on 300 instead of 2-3 title fights.

Conor has that Irish stout Money now
fighting would purely be for ego
