My lower back muscles are quite tired and stiff the next morning after kicking and punching the bags this last few months. Especially spinning back kicks. Now I have to say I'm 53 so wear and tear and age have to be a factor but since I've kept in shape most of my life with Tae Kwon Do, BJJ, weight training etc but increasingly I seem to be getting more tiredness in the lower back these last few months. No other part of my body gives me much issues. I warm up for say 15 minutes doing arm swings, toe touches, BJJ bridge and roll, scrunchies etc and stretching. No issues except for the tiredness of the lower back.

So any advice guys ? Any recommendations on additional exercises to strengthen the area or is it possibly my posture ?

You can try hyper extensions or superman excercises to strengthen that area

Do you do any lifting currently?

TS might not still be waiting for an answer at this point, but it's nice @Josh B searched and found a two-month-old unanswered thread and came to its rescue. Good lookin' out, Josh.

Legs stronger than core.

You sound motivated, like hearing that after 50 people still get after it
