i am a connor nutter but he is not the same anymore. i hope he can get back some of the magic, but you cant move around like that at 170 with one pirate leg.

one could definitely argue that max was still coming into his own when they fought. he certainly improved a LOT after that fight. but even though I can't stand Conor because he's an absolute douchebag, you can't deny the great run he had and what he did for the sport.

Styles make fights and Max has improved immensely since then, and surpassed Conor

That fight would go much differently today, similar to Conor v Poirier 2 and 3. Max was only 22 back then and having close fights with fighters like Leonard Garcia. He didn't morph into his final form until a few years later.

Max was a baby and I believe the 3rd Volk fight was just like really good night for Volk. Volk proved to have Max's number but the 3rd fight is not a good representation of how they match up.
