Theory of ducking?

Ducking - An Adjective used by Sherdoggers to describe a situation in which a fighter they dislike hasnt fought a fighter they idolise...

UFC gave him the money fight vs Hendo...why wouldn't he take the money? It's a money fight. Ofcourse he would take it, wouldn't you? Just Cuz he took a money fight doesn't mean he is ducking. He did say he will defend the belt vs the top contender early next year after he heals up.
yeahhh rite...

U believe this BS story that BS-Ping kept tellin to the media, that the UFC GAVE him the Hendo fight, and that he "ACCEPTED"

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Ya I do. Because if the UFC did not offer him that fight then it would never have happened. So yes it is 100% true the UFC gave him a money fight.

Look, who asked who does not really matter. Because for a fight to happen, 3 parties have to agree right? The UFC, Fighter a, and fighter b. So even if Bisping said gimme Conor or whoever, that still doesn't make a fight unless the other 2 parties agree. So for the Hendo fight, u can say ohhhh UFC didn't ask him or did. Doesn't really matter. End result was all 3 parties agreed to the fight and the big money, so why would Bisping say noooooo don't gimme money. Ofcourse he would take it.

U know what? U convinced me.

Most people on this site legit don't understand what "ducking" means.
There are numerous, legitimate reasons why a fighter chooses to fight , or not fight one fighter for another. These guys aren't "scared" to fight one another
Conor, is definitely scared of Khabib. Everything he and his "Support Group" say, has proven that. Anyone who thinks Connie has not "ducked" anyone, needs to get their eye's and ear's checked.

hey guys, great forum here. I've been reading the forums for almost a year now and just today decided to create an account for my first post.

So my question is how come people here always say "so and so" is ducking this fighter or that fighter?

Isn't MMA considered a professional sport (meaning you fight to make a living)? So wouldn't the fighter logically take the best fight for their career OR biggest money fight?

For example, I've read tons of post claiming Conor is ducking Khabib. But, isn't this a never ending finger pointing type of thing? If he fights Khabib, people will say he is ducking tony fergerson. Or he is ducking Edgar? The list can go on and people can always say he is ducking until he has fought everyone in every division. Isn't this a bit rediculous?

And this isn't just for conor. It's the same argument for other fighters too. People post Jose is ducking Max holloway. But I mean....he was undefeated for almost 10 years. It's pretty obvious he wants the belt unification fight with Conor. So why would he instead fight holloway first? Doesn't make much sense to me. Why would Jose defend the interim belt before Conor defends the real belt? He wouldn't...so why say Jose is ducking?

These cases can go on and on. Based on some of these threads I read, one can make the argument that everyone is ducking everyone.

There is nothing theoretical about it. Some fighters have turned it into a practical science. Others have turned ducking into an art form.

He has had the belt for like 10 minutes and somehow he is already "ducking" Khabib? Khabib JUST started fighting again this year after a 2 year layoff. Conor has been relevant the entire time he's been in the UFC--headlining shows/PPVs, and KOing greats. And now he's supposed to be scared of glass man Khabib?

Talking to you Conor haters is like talking to crazy conspiracy theorists. There is no reason or logic that can get through your skulls.
First, you guys said he was "ducking" wrestlers in his division--then he KOd the best wrestler in the division on short notice (with a torn ACL), then you guys said he was "ducking" the rematch with Aldo (which makes no sense because he KOd him the first time), then he was "ducking" the 145 division--like Frankie and Holloway, even though he had already beaten Holloway and was going to move UP in competition to fight a champion in RDA), then he was "ducking" Nate for the 2nd fight because he was pulled from UFC 200, thenn he was supposed to get murdered and wrestlefucked to death by Eddie...Eddie got KTFO..and now..2 weeks after winning the belt..he's now "ducking" Khabib.

o_O Care to bet he fights Diaz next? His coach and support group are already trying to avoid the match up, like the plague. Khabib will destroy McChicken. He is the loudest mouthpiece in the UFC, and turns dumb whenever Khabib comes up. He is trying his hardest to keep the possible hype quiet with Khabib. Funny really, as Khabib bitched him/Dana out on live PPV, in front of millions. And that loudmouth Connie, has NOTHING to say? HA!

Nothing to say? Conor was so scared of Khabib that he got in his face and had words with him in the back at 205! Wow. He must have been terrified!
There is a long list of people that want to fight Conor. Him not making his post fight speeches about one of the many of these guys is ZERO indication of his "fear". Should he had taken Jermey Stephens seriously when he made a fool of himself at the pre-fight press conference? Conor is a prize fighter. He is about money. He will take the fight that gets him the most money.
Khabib only became relevant after his win over MJ--which just happened TWO WEEKS ago. Ferguson is the rightful challenger right now--but he's acting like a fucking weirdo talking about "I don't want a tainted belt--ill fight for the title when i want to" nonsense. While Conor is on break, a clear #1 can be sorted--and Conor will face that guy when he comes back.
And lol at fighting Diaz next. The ONLY way that would happen is if Diaz fought and beat Ferguson, Khabib, or RDA in devastating fashion while Conor is on break.
