The Official Sherdog Rap/Gangsta/Hip-Hop Thread

@Skylako

Definitely listen to Doomsday. That is the origin of his MF DOOM character and his production was great as usual.

I seriously love YG's new album, shit sounds like some old school G-funk.

No problem man. MF DOOM is my 2nd favorite rapper, I can recommend you more of his shit.

His early days in part of a group with his brother called KMD, he was known as Zev Love X. They had 2 albums

2. MF EP

3. MM..Food

4. Madvillainy

5. The Mouse and The Mask

6. Born Like This (He shortened his. name to DOOM)

7. Keys To The Kuffs

8. NehruvianDOOM

As King Gheedorah/King Ghidra

1. Take Me To Your Leader (Very first. DOOM project I ever heard)

2. The track "Mic Line"

As Viktor Vaughn

1. Vaudeville Villain(My favorite DOOM project)

2.Venemous Villain(My least favorite DOOM project)

**Sorry for nerding out**

Ever since RoosterShooter dipped off the boards, the dialogue on Hip-Hop has dwindled significantly everywhere, nothing in the 'berry, P&M or the Plats. WTF?!? Hip-Hop/Rap is the most popular genre of music today and NOTHING?!?!

Most of those threads were flamewars but hey this is just a thread to post what you're listening to and small talk/banter.

CyHi The Prynce is pretty damn underrated.

It bumps in the whip

Straight garbage...nothing but poison for the minds and hearts of youths.

These "artists" rap about fairy tales, watching their fans rip each other to pieces from their lavish homes, far from the slums they claim to rep.

Been listening to a lot of DOOM recently.

Fav song off the album

Love the usage of Samples he uses, so obscure. I remember was watching A Raisin in the Sun in High school and there was a part in the movie where I heard he sampled in Guinnesses. Made me crack a smile. DOOM is the King of Sampling.

If Pete Rock & CL released
this shit today, in 2016... it'd fucking
murder the charts.

knife slits, we train 'em &scar 'em
like pits, off vibes of the Mecca joint

Vibe to position, & never runnin'
out of ammunition. Now to the heart,
I'm steppin' with a concealed weapon"

This shit is still relevant. Like all
of Guru & Premiere's shit.
