The Democratic Party continues to say even today that "the Republican Party is racist, misogynistic, sexist, discriminatory, and continues to promote white supremacist ideals to take over America". When you respond to that, how exactly do you respond to that? I made a cheat sheet to help you.
First of all, let's clear something up. Many people dismiss the Democratic Party regime as "not being racist anymore" because of a "switch" that happened some time between the 20's and 30's where all Republicans became Democrats and all Democrats became Republicans and that's why Republicans are racist and blah blah blah blah. The truth is, nobody
really knows
when that happened. The REAL truth is, it didn't happen at all. There was no "big switch". Even if you ask
when this happened, you can't describe why or how an entire platform could switch overnight. It just doesn't happen. Democrats have been and continue to be
extremely racist.
The "switch" happened in the 1930's, right? But.... but muh racism!
A lot of people stress that this "switch" idea happened in the 30's under The New Deal by FDR. That didn't happen either. Why? Because there were still racist Dixiecrats well into the 1960's, INCLUDING Lyndon B. Johnson, a public racist who was outspoken about signing the civil rights movement to "get them stupid n------'s votin' democrat for them next two hundred years". That's actually what he said right before he signed the Civil Rights Act "to prevent them n-----'s from gettin' too uppity 'dese days". The Civil Rights Act was written by a Republican Senator. Martin Luther King Jr. AND Rosa Parks, two prominent civil rights activists, were registered voting Conservative Republicans. The only "switch" that happened was when Johnson signed the bill into law, he made Dr. King promise to get his followers to vote democrat. Which they did, only to lose to Nixon.
Let's wind the clocks back. The Democratic Party wasn't just racist in the 20th Century, they were racist WELL before that. I love making tables, so
