I've seen better GnP out of Miesha Tate than I saw in this fight.

All he had to do was catch one. Fuck, im no fighter and i knew it was coming.

Nah, that would have been a mistake. That would have been the easiest way for Yair to KO BJ, fake low then go high.

BJ made the huge mistake that a lot of traditional Muay Thai guys do in MMA, which is to absorb the kick rather than back up out of range (Pettis vs. Cerrone). BJ had 0 lateral movement, stood with his feet planted. Just a disaster.

BJ lives within a 45 minute plane ride of one of the best TKD coaches in the world, along with athletes there who are better and more dynamic kickers than Yair. Wish he took advantage of that.

I hadn't seen the fight before watching that clip... geez BJ got murked, that's a devastating loss.

FWIW newbies, BJ rightfully is a legend of the sport. He was the prodigy during the Dark Ages of the UFC who had a disregard for weight divisions.

On another note its great to finally see striking > bjj or wrestling.
