Arlovski was on a 6-fight winning streak going against Stipe, Stipe KOs him in the first! Ngannou beats a 3-fight losing streak Arlovski and that's quite the achievement, let's applaud and start freighthopping on the hypetrain. Ngannou then beats Overeem who's on a 2-fight winning streak, unlike the 4-fight winning streak against Miocic. Both Arlovski and Overeem were younger fighting Miocic too. So Ngannou beats those 2 and he's definitely the future, 2 big names!! No mention of past-prime, just amazing, quite the accomplishment. What the heck? Miocic also beat champ Werdum who was coming in from a big win against Cain. 1st round KO against Dos Santos who was coming in from a big win against Rothwell.

Those are big achievements, so why hate on him? You have a bias? You don't want the GOAT to be a nice guy like him? You want pride-era psychopathic Wanderlei to be your GOAT-hero? Well reality did not work out that way. Be objective. Did I mention big wins over Gonzaga, Nelson and total annihilation of Mark Hunt?

Anyone else had achieved that and it would have been the end of the world, but because it's Miocic and we don't want him to be GOAT, let's pretend he beat up nobodies.

Then our newfound hero who beat the greats and phenomenals Arlovski and Overeem LOL comes along and challenges Miocic. YAY that'll be the end of Miocic! Miocic does the impossible and dominates Ngannou whom no one ever held down for longer than 2 seconds. Hypocritical and biased idiots say Miocic you suck you couldn't have finished a gassed-out third-rate fighter like Ngannou...

When all is said and done, Miocic will be GOAT, get used to it. His wrestling and boxing is amazing. But you can downplay it and say it's crap and all his fights are crap, and Cain when he's in an environment that suits him, not too elevated terrain, and all conditions are just right, he wins. But if not all factors are just right, not that it's excuses, but he would have OWNED anyone, but the stars have to be aligned, and anyways excuses are easy to come by, so in case he should lose, Cain is GOAT, just get over it. Stipe? A joke.

Thank you, amen
Miocic never lost, a draw versus Dos Santos that he avenged. Struve fight was when he was still green, came in injured, and was eye-poked and slipped. All your heros have 100x worst beat-downs.

Still a serial killer tho...

It’s impossible to to say stipe isnt the hw goat if he sleep Dc.

Member since Saturday. Not saying I disagree with everything you're saying but you clearly have an agenda.

  • He has losses to Struve and JDS(that wasn't a prime JDS that he loss to either and the version he beat was very old)
  • Arlovski wasn't prime when he beat him. Arlovski's win streak was nice but that that wasn't a prime Andrei.
  • Overeem win was very good though that wasn't that same as juiced up Ubereem
  • Werdum was excellent win
  • Ngannou was an excellent win

There's no question Stipe is an excellent HW, all time great UFC one. Don't fabricate importance of some of his wins though. He didn't beat a 2005 Arlovski, he didn't beat a Ubereem who was on horse meat, He didn't beat a prime JDS and lost a decision to a lesser version ...

Some of it i have to agree with, he might be the goat but he didnt fight Overeem in his Prime he fought JDS a close decision in JDSs prime i thought Miocic won but it was a close fight, the second time he fought JDS it was a easy win so there are primes and you cant just ignore the fact, i think when its all said and done he will be the most accomplished HW no matter the Promotion. I feel like some want to discredit him for whatever reason.

Also a sidenote in the Struve fight you can see him slip on the Sticker on the ground right into the Punch that kos him, its his only ko loss and its years old.

The guy is legit... Best UFC Heavyweight.... keeps it up one of the best ever. To bad we might never see him vs a Healthy Velasquez.

Anything after the two Cain fights in which Cain took years off of JDS's life was not prime JDS

Got whooped by Struve. Yeah, probably wasn't 100% in his prime by that point, but he certainly wasn't "green" either. Then 2 years later gets thoroughly outclassed by JDS.

Ngannou fight, only thing I give Stipe credit for is his chin. Regarding the rest - Ngannou could hardly stand at the end of round 1. Stipe had 20 minutes to put him away, and could not do it. That is just incredibly weak.

Great wins, but let's not lose our minds here. JDS was not in his prime.

Arlovski in his prime... that’s a bit of a stretch

Overeem was definitely not in his prime.

But yes I enjoy stipe looking forward too his next fight.

He beats past prime fighters.

Big Stipe fan and he beat Werdum in his absolute prime. However, he beat Ngannou before his prime, and Overeem, JDS, Arlovski, and Hunt after their primes.

Couldn't have said it any better. Ngannou is going to be a real problem when he solidifies his ground game and game planning. He's not even close to his prime yet.

he played it safe and smart, is that wrong? plus, do u know what it took to keep ngannou down? no one could ever hold ngannou down, of course miocic was exhausted, you downplay what he did, it's embarrassing, he was supposed to lose remember? now that he wins, it wasn't good enough for you, it's hypocritical and selfish the way you diminish his win

The entire hw division is aging legends. I wouldn't count any of those wins as prime except maybe ngannou, but clearly he just one dimensional. Stipe has proven to be the best, but it doesn't change the fact the division is shallow.

Arvloski was not in his prime and has been slept plenty of times.

Jds was all not in his prime after those Cain beatings he took. His even split with stripe.

Reem has a glass jaw and can be ko at any given time.

Last guy he fought had horrible ground game and gassed km two rounds .

Lastly, he was ko by the worst HW in struve.. lol.

Stripe is a good fighter, but he didn't beat people in their prime like you suggested.

Best era for UFC HW was imho that short period of Cain and JDS at theyr apex, the division never touched that peak again after that
