After this entire thread and the tidbits of knowledge dropped by posters like sinister and others you still choose to ignorant and arrogant? Do you post on forums just for people to validate your opinions and ego instead of trying to improve your knowledge and skill?
 
LOL much easier to keep hands up with elbows against the torso and the torso slightly leaned back, putting no strain on the shoulders of holding weight.

If one was using a high, peek-a-boo style guard like Tyson or Erislandy Lara, the shoulders would be more stressed, correct?
 
D'Amato was smarter than that, the true beginning position of that system has the elbows VERY tight to the body and hands almost tucked against you. They only open to punch.
