Radical Muslim, probably has a lot of support and protection in there for his actions.
 
I don't think it's so uncommon for prisoners to get their hands on dangerous stuff like hot water. I remember in the 1980's, some inmate poured paint thinner over Charles Manson and lit him on fire.

This comes only a month after another evil piece of shit responsible for the Manchester arena bombing attacked, burned and stabbed 3 correctional officers in another prison.

So two questions here:

1. How the fuck are these lowlife turds given access to kitchen utensils and put in a position where they can harm anyone?

2. Why are these evil scumbags being kept alive with taxpayers dollars?


One look at these guys and you see there is nothing of value behind those eyes without any human empathy, cold like a fucken codfish, there is zero hope of any rehabilitation for this type of psychopathic parasite, they have no place in society and they should be put down and their organs donated to people in need because that's the only positive contribution they could ever make to this world.

Anyone with a brain knew what he was, but this just confirms it further. Usually child killers are placed in solitary confinement in jails for their own protection. Yet, this monster was not only in an open wing but had also had various items in his cell that could be used to hurt him - such as a kettles. He is clearly well protected in there.

The Telegraph reported in April that Islamist gangs are 'taking over' UK jails - using violence and intimidation to 'overrun' high-security facilities and leaving authorities 'powerless'. Wonder why they aren't dealing with him?
 
Inmates in AZ have access to hot plates. They can use these in their cells to boil water. They also will make their own devices such as a stinger, which is a Jerry-rigged piece of metal connected to an electrical outlet to heat stuff up. These guys make tattoo guns from Walkman motors and ink pens.

In the kitchen, the workers have access to everything. Every tool is assigned a number, and that number is signed in and out by the ADC # of the inmate.

Most State prisons are ridiculously under-staffed. Many times an entire yard will be ran with a ratio of 100 inmates to 1 officer. This happens even on level 3 yards, which are open, dorm style. Sometimes the towers won't even be posted with officers but the show must go on.

Yup, I also remembered the media referring to him as Welsh, and that turd Kier Starmer hiding details about the case while labelling people who protested this as far right terrorists.

They usually have access to one microwave per unit to heat up food depending on the level of security. Inmates create weapons out of all kinds of things. You can sharpen plastic silverware and attach it to a base to make a shank. Inmates are creative and find ways to make weapons, pretty much the reality of prison. Taking away eating utensils wouldn't change that.

He probably would get some rough treatment somewhere along the way for attacking the COs and probably lost privileges for a long time and went to solitary for the attacks for at least a few years; solitary confinement (administrative segregation or what they call "the hole' in prison) is a much safer place to have them because they have to cuff up before they can leave their cell, and they cannot be outside of a cell without cuffs. For my mental health groups in the administrative segregation unit, they would all be locked in separate monkey cages which would surround me in the room; there were big plastic shields put up so they couldn't spit on me- it was a hell of a setup.

Sometimes people suffer consequences for child crimes in prison, but often sex offenders are kept in PC where they are safer. Ped0s/child killers have been stabbed to death at prisons where I have worked, but most made it through their sentence with a little or a lot of abuse from other inmates and staff.

As far as why they don't kill them, that gets into the broader death penalty debate.

Very different situation in AZ than other places- private prisons, tent city, etc. They do a lot of things other states couldn't get away with or choose not to do. CO Union regulations keep staffing levels up for safety in some places, not AZ though.

I believe the classic is to jam a razor blade in the center of a toothbrush and melt it into a makeshift shank.

Yep, that's one way too. The last prison I worked at had a giant collection of weapons that inmates had fashioned that had been confiscated; they would show you the collection when you were doing your orientation starting work at the prison and it was astonishing. There were weapons made out of every possible thing that you can think of.
