Crime Should LGBT Pride parades be 18+ only?

Indecency would be enforced if it was at a bowling alley, but not at a pride parade.

I personally think it’s vile to bring children to these events, drag shows Etc, but it’s the parents perogative.

My issue is that the police don’t enforce the indecent exposure at these events.

They dont enforce it in New Orleans at Mardi Gras as well and I'm not bringing my kids to Bourbon St during Mardi Gras either.

This thread asks whether or not we should prevent anyone under the age of 18 from attending a public event based on the idea that you saw something icky at a similar event somewhere else. Something that you would have never known even happened, if you didn't go out of your way to look for it.

Mardi gras happens in New Orleans. Gay pride parades happen everywhere and they're not trying to expose/celebrate marti gras culture to children all over the country either.

Bourbon St is all 18+ bars etc. Not many kids there as it's more packed than NYC at new year. Not a big risk but even being from Louisiana, I'd be down for them to enforce it. Overall, noone that I've heard of would even try to bring kids around it.

Mind-blowing imho that No Arrests were made after openly seeing sex acts done in public during a pride parade stumbled upon accidentally. No doubt their parade "letters" made laws on the books not be enforced due to lawsuit fears, to the detriment of law abiding citizens.
