If there is an Asian or Safeway supermarket near you. There is this Taiwanese soda in a red can called Hey Song. It is what you are looking for. That particular brand has a beer like quality. It has a lot of foam for some reason. The taste is sweet/syrupy with a bitter aftertaste.

Like mentioned, its very similar in taste. But not the same. What I’ve had was more syrup like, best way I can think to describe it. Not bad, but not good enough to drink again, for me. It was a bit too sweet, and not enough carbonation.
