Wonder how Conor fans will spin this if it is indeed true?
If Diaz vs McGregor 3 is Conors next fight, to me, it 100% confirms what many have already speculated...that Conor is a duck. Avoiding the real competition.
Pathetic.
He's barely a champ at all.He already 1st round KO'ed his "real competition". That's why he's the 2 division champ.
Meaningless? This is the perfect, no-brainer fight to make. First of all, the interim fight between Lee and Tony hasn't happened yet. Kahbib, the #1 contender, appears to still be unhealthy. Conor and Nate are 1-1 so this is the rubber match. Their fights are exciting. Conor has a belt, he now wants to defend the damn thing, so let him defend it. He has stipulated he wants to fight Nate at 155. Not only that, but we're talking big numbers for this fight, probably bigger than the other two. ... who would you have him fight at this point?Conor McGregor is close to agreeing a third fight with Nate Diaz for this December, according to reports.
The Dubliner has split the first two bouts against the American fighter, with McGregor memorably handed his first UFC defeat in March 2016 after Diaz submitted him.
McGregor recovered to edge the rematch by majority decision that August, and now after taking a sabbatical following the birth of his first child - and a foray into boxing to fight Floyd Mayweather - it appears that the Notorious is close to returning to the Octagon.
The Sunday World is reporting that McGregor is very close to signing a deal to take on Nate Diaz in a deciding fight on December 30 in Las Vegas - and that his friends and family are so sure of the fight being announced that they have already booked flights to Sin City.
McGregor hasn't fought in the UFC since becoming a two-weight world champion in November 2016 following a knockout of lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

What a coward. He has two belts yet to be defended and he goes in again for a meaningless fight against Diaz ?! What the hell has happened to the UFC ? The ONLY saving grace will be if this fight takes place at LW and is for the belt. I wouldn't be surprised if Conor is granted permission for this fight to be a non-title fight.

And belts don't matter anyways. Titles, rankings, who cares about that shitwhile it would be bullshit, you're out of your fucking mind if you dont think that'd be a fun as hell main event

If this shit is true i dont need.more words, you can see for yourselfand how is that?
see what, please explain yourself, show me the facts,If this shit is true i dont need.more words, you can see for yourself
Strip him of his belt already if he has such a desire to keep fighting Nate
It's not gonna be the money fight people think, actually, I don't think it tops his other 2
Can't defend Conor anymore, it's blatant he's ducking Tony
I would've even been cool with Khabib in Russia, that would've done good imo
And Conor, QUIT giving Nate all these paydays.. He was on 30/30 or something before this and he has trashed Dana and the UFC for years
We'll see if the UFC coughs up his 20 million demand, I highly doubt it
