roy moore and handmaid's tale

Christian men are the sickest of the sick. They do despicable things under the veil of christianity. Religion is one of the true evils we deal with in society on a daily basis

religion is evil? you sound kinda religious.

well if your goal is to end subjugation of women then religion would be your prime enemy

when you take the extremely religious muslim countries, their control and subjugation of women is beyond ridiculous

it's like if you had to think of how actual patriarchy would look like, how women need to cover from top to bottom as a ninja as not to temp men or be punished, and not be allowed to be anything except being a subservient house slave and not allowed out of the house except in company of a male, you would get.... saudi arabia

nordic countries are universally accepted as being most feminist

https://www.theguardian.com/lifeand...best-place-to-be-women-equal-gender-maternity

the amount of people going to churches and following bible as true word is declining in proportion of advancement of women's right. hopefully the same thing is going to happen in muslim world. there is a very good reason radical extremist muslim groups are scared to shit from allowing women any autonomy, from taliban bombing girls' schools to boko haram literally naming their organization in protest of western science, they know it will be their downfall

That article is just stupid. Oh yeah, it must be Christian groups sponsoring videos with parents simulating masturbation in front of their kids, promoting promiscuity and abortions for teens, and writing articles for teen magazines with tips on anal sex. Must be those crazy Hollywood Christians who've been on a rape and molestation rampage for like 70 years.

The lady who wrote the article probably grew up in some cult, which we already know are creepy as shit, but under no circumstances does any mainstream Christian group support pedophilia. They're the ones who made some of the highest age of consent laws in the world. Sweden's age of consent is 15, Mexico is like 12, and most Muslim countries are big fans of children marrying old men, including their prophet. I'm sure she'd be consistent and say we should definitely not import any of those cultures or values here.

It's not just a one off outlier, it's a part of the evangelical christian culture

Thankfully it is largely in the shadows, unlike it's counterpart in muslim countries

Umm, no it isn't part of evangelical culture, but it isn't unheard of in the sout for a 18 or 19 yr old to marry their hs sweetheart whIle she's 16 or 17.

I dont know most of those people, but why does the writer distort the facts for his article - Robertson never advocated 30 yr old men marrying teens.

You know what she was doing. It's the pretty common left wing sleight of hand, where they give 2 separate ideas side by side and leave the bovine reader to connect the dots. Men like women who are younger than them, and women get married younger. As long as they never mention that the 17-18 year old brides are marrying guys close to their age, the reader can erroneously infer than they're marrying old men without having to actually be blatantly lied to.
