Recent fights/results/news from Kickboxers-MT fighters in Boxing

In Gogokhia's defense this was his first opponent in the top 50 on boxrec, but yeah he got schooled.

I didn't realize this, but apparently former IBF SM champ Caleb Plant was an amateur kickboxing ("full contact") champion back in the day. He won the IKF world championships a couple times.

He obviously lost a lopsided UD to Benavides earlier this evening.

I didn’t know this man. Where did you get this info from?

They've mentioned it during a few of his fights, i just never thought to post the info.

It is true. Plant was a multi time IKF amateur full contact rules champion back when he was a teenager. Also was their annual World Classic title holder as well. Search IKF's website and you can find all his info.
Thanks bud

Yeah, it just seemed appropriate given yesterday's fight.

It's funny, I'd heard about him as a kickboxer years ago when he won the ikf world amateur championships in 2010, but I didn't recognize him as a pro boxer. Probably because my exposure to him was limited to a couple posts online and a few pictures, where he looked very young.

It’s fight week. Tenshin Nasukawa makes his professional boxing debut this saturday!

Dude i appreciate what you do on this site, but you really need to check before you create a duplicate thread in future, you've done it a few times in the boxing sub and it splits up news between multiple threads.

Up to you though.

Sorry bud, will keep an extra eye open in the future! but I mainly made this particular thread to give Tenshin’s debut some extra shine among the boxing fans.
I already noticed your Kenshiro vs Olascuaga event thread before though. The Tenshin thread is not there to compete with that one, but just to spread the news

Just watched Tenshin's pro debut in boxing. He did well, and it's only his first fight, but apart from speed and accuracy his technique is not gonna work. I'd love to be wrong and i hope he finds success, but above regional level he's getting out-boxed for sure.
