Punching power mostly comes from powerful glutes

Everything is interconnected. Nothing works in isolation. Not saying you are wrong but the calves, hips, scapula, lats, forearms and the range of rotation of the spine are all important factors as well.

No.

Only the glutes matter.

It's ok dude, it's 2018, you don't need an excuse to look at guys' butts and appreciate them.

Now we know where Mark Hunt gets his KO punching power from

I just thought power from mass + acceleration? Not to disregard technique too.

the technique is what gives that. you can punch from your hip and you don't have the same acceleration that punching from your feet does.

It's got very little to do with muscle groups, it's all mechanics, timing and accuracy.

You don't develop KO power solely in a weight room, you do it through training and learning the correct way to deliver a punch.

Ray Robinson, Tommy Hearns, Anderson Silva, Gerald McClellan, etc...lean guys with tremendous KO power.

Dan Henderson has Hank Hill ass and used to ko people stiff on a regular basis.

The glutes are the largest muscle in the body so yeah, someone possessing decent glute development will find uses for all that muscle including greater hip extension, which is what one does when shifting their weight from the rear to front foot in a punch.

That doesn’t mean they have KO power, just that something will actually happen when they put their ass into it.

Fake news up the wazzooooo.

A: This the most powerful P4P puncher of all time, according to many:

B: Conor is not powerful, but precise and a sharp puncher.

if true miesha would have finished every fight when she hit them with a jab

I would think it is about your chain working well together. Anything that is a weak link is going to hinder power. If you have a bum knee that takes away from your pivot then your glutes may not make up for that impairment. Also, the core is what connects everything so that needs to be strong as well. Yeah glutes help but they are part of the bigger picture.
