Pettis striking is overrated, thats also a big part of the problem. Yes he has very good kicks, but his hands are average, I can't ever remember him dropping anyone with his hands, his punches are not very crisp imo. He has good kicks though. TDD is average. His subs are good.

This is pretty accurate. Pettis isn't really a combination fighter. Hopefully his work with Gibson at Jackson's will help him over time.
