Once Colby beats RDA, will you accept the fact that he's a legit top WW?

He’s already a legit force at WW; not a huge fan but I kinda find his shenanigans amusing and am really interested in seeing if he can deal with a high level striker

If he's able to then sure, of course he's a top WW. You're gonna see a guy avoiding a fight as much as he can and diving for takedowns out of desperation. Not to say it can't win him the fight like that, its really his only way to win.

I personally don't see it happening, I think RDA will beat him.

I think even his detractors already call him a top WW

He's just cringey tryhard trailer trash

He's exactly what Welterweight needs. A one-dimensional wrestler with HW level striking output.

I'll pass. He's boring enough fighting guys with terrible wrestling, what the fuck is he supposed to do against Woodley? He's doesn't have Askren level wrestling and compared to Colby, Woodley is pretty much Bruce fucking Lee.

RDA will smash him into bits. Colby is a good wrestler but he ain't Khabib.

Which is kind of a shame, I'd like to see him fight Woodley.
He's still a very decorated one though, and has the size advantage over Khabib, so that may be enough for him to be able to replicate that gameplan.

The big reason I like his chances are the fact that RDA hasn't faced many, if any, high level wrestlers since that fight. Gonna be interesting to see if he can deal with the wrestling or not.

If Cody is "legit", then the WW division has gone to shit.

Dude is legit already, I just don’t see him getting past wonderboy or Woodley

I already knew he was legit, I just don’t like the guy.

Im just waiting for Colby to release a video on "Brazzers", "The worlds best porn site".

He's going to end up being the Joe Warren of WW.

Define Legit WW first?

I see MANY fighters who never had a belt as "legit" and ones who have had belts as, scared bit*hes!

Not really, I mean, there aren't many guys that are dangerous off their backs in the WW top 10, so it's unlikely that loss like that will happen again.

Alves does seem like a tough matched for many wrestlers on paper though, due to his love for guillotines.

Colby needs to be humbled with his attitude. Talks a lot of shit. I'm predicting hes the next Mike Perry.

If he lay and pray for 5 rounds, no, I would just consider him another boring wrestler that I'll ignore in future fights.

If he decisions RDA you'll ignore him in future fights? Because that would make him "boring"? (in your words)

Just take a second and try to imagine the skill required to earn a decision win over a fighter the caliber of RDA....

but yeah I guess you're right... a decision win would be so boring!

Colby has no choice but to beat RDA.
If he fails to get his win bonus all of those Nerdbash chicks, including Kelsi Monroe, will most likely repo his truck and remaining possessions.

I think Colby has a hard time going forward, and I don't see any easy fights on his horizon. He strikes me as being a perennial gatekeeper in the UFC at WW. Despite his ranking at the time, I think Maia was the oldest and one of the easiest possible matchups for Cowardton in the top 10.

Woodley and Usman have the wrestling chops and physical strength to negate Colby's only real advantage at 170. I think Wonderboy and Till would both light Colby up on the feet, and I don't think Colby has the heart or chin to withstand a war of attrition against Lawler, let alone Lawler's underrated TDD.

I think RDA's going to get in Colby's face and pressure him, and mix it up by chewing up Colby's lead leg when Colby gets tentative and starts backing up in the early rounds.

Yeah if it is a boring fight I will still consider him another fucking boring wrestler.
