Okay, then the initial rebirth of the old OT once it was reinstated was better.

I had to LOL at some of the 'Offshoots' that cropped up as a result of the Operation Scorched Earth of the original OT. Are they even still around?

I think so.
I was on one of them, and 90% of the time they just talked about Sherdog.
I mean....
So I left and never looked back.
But I have heard a few of them are still around.

I think Cameldog (or something) was one of the first.

I just remember checking one of them out with the handle of Joe King.
It took some of the angry natives there a long time to put 2 and 2 together that I was who I was.

It was briefly epic.

The Old days in the OT were fun....Epic battles, porn bombs, e-suicides, love triangles.....Maybe 07-12ish? People grow up, move to other things. There was a time when I thought Howard Stern was the best thing ever....You grow up and realize he is a total douche bag. You outgrow things.

Sherdog goes back to the late 90's. The modern board was created in December 2001.

Same lurked for a few years then jumped in. Only forums I was involved in were old gaming related forums regarding Guild stuff for the AOL NWN MMORPG, then Everquest etc. Course some music related forum incarnations as well...

I started out with MMA on the old UFC Forum which had really no activity and found Sherdog from there.

The Sweet and Sour Sniffles "Pandemic' really exposed Howard for me at least. But yeah the Old OT was great though but the mods were such sensitive twats back then...I remember a bunch of posters that got sick of the banning made a group called UFC...Upstanding Fucking Citizens. Not a bad site and that one was fun as well.
