Okay what the hell happened to Weidman?

Ignoring the eyepokes, Chris actually looked good. I thought Bruno was going to knock him out fairly quickly but Weidman was getting the better of exchanges and he looked like the Weidman of old.
Did something happen? Did Chris hit a 'second prime' or has Bruno Silva regressed?
He waved his fingers in the direct eye line of a striker for 3 entire rounds. Chris had some small success in the grappling in the first but ultimately just kneed him in the legs.
Chris does this in most of his fights, gets over confident and then he makes a defensive mistake and gets finished. He avoided that this time by poking Silva everytime he started having success on the feet.

Without the fingers out Weidman gets caught in an exchange late or wrestles his way to a boring control based decision. he always has success early, gets timed and then starts getting beaten up later in the fight. He didn't allow that to happen by poking his opponent in the eyes.

Thank you! Weidman career have been terrible missmanaged ever since he lost to Romero, he should have started to fight unranked or top 15 guys to build him back and avoid taking some much damage
The Dominick Reyes is the dumbest match making I have ever seen in the modern era, frankly it should have never been sanctioned to begin with.

Dying from exhaustion against Rockhold and getting kneed in the face by Romero and Mousasi, then getting knocked out by a forehead strike (?!) from Jacare and his ankle destroyed in a Hall fight. That's what happened to Weidman.
If “dying from exhaustion” means attempting the worst spinning back kick of all time, getting taken down and mounted while having his face beaten to a pulp, then yea, he died from exhaustion…
