That would be the traditional option. I think the better option would be no barrier. If the fight moves out of bounds just have the ref reset in bounds. Kind of like wrestling. It would make for better live and TV viewing as well.

Idk why people say cages are bad for viewing. TV audiences see the fights over the fence with an HD camera. Live audiences have seats looking over the fence as well and can see fine. It's only cageside where it might be difficult but that's usually reserved for celebrities and rich folks anyway.
