No more red icon on avatar for likes and replies?

Prior to forum move I would see a red dot(?) on my avatar at top of page whenever someone liked or replied to a post I made.

I no longer see this red dot when these occurr and I see no option for it in preferences. Help me Obi-wan!!

Are you referring to the bell icon on the top right?

No. 2 icons to the left of your circle. Your avatar icon. I would see red dot, or something similar, when someone liked or replied to my posts.

I can't recall a red dot on the avatar icon.

Did it have a number or was it always a dot? E.g if you got 10 likes, would it show the number 10 within that circle or just the circle itself?

Jist Red dot, regardless of number of likes and/or quotes.
