Media Ngannou doesn't remember the 2nd round.

The moment bro felt silly believing that UFC Ford Escort promo fluff

a while ago i listened to a Chael episode where he was skeptical at a lot of the reported Floyd Mayweather purses. Not really dissimilar to how Trump n Co padded the stats on how wealthy they really are. And it makes sense business wise to do it; money and success begets money and success. But i can't help to think that the report of Ngannou making 20 million for the Joshua fight seems a little padded. And thats not even considering the non-theory-but-fact that the amount is subject to tax, and in most states that amount is going to be 2/3's the reported amount AFTER those taxes.

Just throwing that out there. Not an Ngannou fan, not a hater (definitely watching ANY fights he's in though) if anything i'm happy for him while at the same time being a huge UFC fan. I have heard on hear various times that despite his rags to riches story, he's blowing his wealth on EXCESSIVE materialistic stuff, and that bums me out. I was listening to a youtube short of Tony Yayo (one of the guys 50 cent put on back in the early 2000's) talking about 50, and how 50 would NEVER spend X amount on a watch despite wealthy enough.

In general i think the 2-5% who are not quite the 1% of population who own 99% of the wealth(i know that was confusing) generally inflate their wealth to maintain a sense of mystery and superiority.

i said it right when it happened. after the first knockdown the fight was over. the first knockdown was bad. he got up and he was slower, flat footed, and his body was so loose. you can tell he was on auto-pilot after that and everything that happened after the first knockdown was just a waiting game for the finish.

that's what happens when you switch to southpaw vs a guy who has had 3 of his last 5 fights vs southpaws, his best punch is his right hand, and you don't know shit about fighting out of a southpaw stance. Ngannou probably thought he was tricking Joshua with "awkwardness" when he literally played into Joshua's hand when he turned southpaw.

Yeah he was probably concussed and dizzy from the 1st punch. Remember Joshua is a 255 Ibs elite pro boxer who knows how to punch!! that punch would have dropped anyone if it lands flush. I believe Francis, I could see his eyes had that glazy look from the 1st punch that dropped him

I watched his latest Ariel interview that was posted yesterday and it really reeked of excuses. One part of the interview, he was mentioning that he was at somewhat of a disadvantage by arriving at the arena 2 hours earlier than AJ's camp and how he just felt off throughout the entire day.

Francis has probably never been this humbled since the first Stipe fight when the UFC were pushing that entire ford escort nonsense and were practically writing Stipe's eulogy in the pre fight press conference. Even during the AJ press conference, the dude was clearly still riding off the high of the Fury performance despite still coming on the losing side while AJ was just stoic and reserved (like Stipe in the first fight) with his mind firmly set on what he needs to do.

At the end of the day, he got the most important thing; $$$$. It is not embarrassing to just admit that he was ridiculously out of place against an gold medalist boxer and an all time great in AJ.

Boxers really do hit harder than MMA fighters.

Anthony Joshua indeed hits harder than any MMA fighter.

But - and I know this is an incredibly hard concept for many people to grasp - AJ is not 'boxers'. He is a person. He is a boxer that hits harder than all but a small handful of boxers let alone MMA fighters.

Tai Tuivasa was a boxer. As was Israel Adesanya. As were dozens of other guys who have boxed and competed in MMA. Does a boxer/MMA fighter hit harder than a boxer/MMA fighter? Does the universe implode in on itself trying to solve this conundrum.

The shit Big Frank is getting over getting smashed by a guy who would smash literally everyone who tried to box him in their second pro bout - almost definitely including a 2nd pro-fight Usyk - is nonsense.

Francis is not getting shit on because he lost to AJ. He is getting shit on because he legitimately thinks he is in the same realm of quality as Fury and AJ when in actuality, anyone with a functioning brain knows he is not.

Saudi wealth is on a different level........their state oil company recently revealed a drop in profits for the last year.

"Saudi Arabia's state oil giant Aramco reported a 25% decline in profit to $121.3 billion in 2023, down from $161.1 billion in 2022."

Hence why numerous WWE legends like Undertaker and Shawn Michaels were constantly whoring themselves out to embarrassing matches in Saudi Arabia PPV's because the money was sweet.

Put 20 million Saudi petrodollars on the line and I'll convince myself I'm Zeus if that's what it takes.

He dropped Fury, so quite clearly Frank was in the 'realm of quality' of the guy that rolled off the couch to fight him. Doesn't mean he wouldn't get slaughtered by a motivated Fury, but we are dealing with the real world not 'Sea Level Cain' speculation.

In the real world, Frank was in the 'realm of quality' of the guy that showed up that night and his gamble paid off massively.

I bet he doesn’t.
