Buakaw got UDed by an effin Shaolin monk called Yi Long (One Dragon). The name alone should tell you how much of a clown he is. Conor would destroy Buakaw so badly it's not even funny. The "walk in a straight line punch kick punch punch kick knee elbow no head moomen" style of Muay Thai is so 1960s.

I agree with everything you said and think pure Muay Thai is incredibly predictable. They fight to that irritating shit they call music (that I have to pretend to appreciate even though it's reminiscent of TMA voodoo bullshit that traditional Muay Thai still possesses) which is essentially a metronome. Makes for a relatively easy rhythm to follow of you're a natural at picking up riddim.
It's why the Dutch blasted their faces off when they showed up with more western boxing fundementals and a total disregard for their traditions.
But the second bout between Buakaw and Yi Long was definitely a shit decision. It happened in China and Buakaw beat the shit outta that clown.
