Need keyboard help from my Sher-nerds

I use a MacBook Air. I spend a large amount of time typing on it for school and work. I would like to augment the integrated keyboard with an upgraded one that I can use both at home and on the go. I just want something that is comfortable to type on and It should preferably fit into my laptop bag.

Do you guys have any advice as far as things I need, what to avoid, pro's and cons of certain keyboards, etc
