At the beginning the VA used mechanical traction for my neck as part of the PT. Didn't help that much. They also gave me one of these:

I bought one of these for about $37 online from AliExpress. Took like 3 weeks to arrive but it works good.

I have one of these on my back porch and it helps a lot. Bought it on Craigslist for $40 about a year ago. Put on my headset and hang out for about 10-15 min.
